Don’t be in a hurry to pass that truck!

I know.  I hate being stuck behind semi trucks, too.  They’re often slow, and I hate the burned diesel smell.  And you just can’t see very well what’s going on ahead.  I want to get past them as badly as the next guy.  And who doesn’t?

But have you ever seen footage of a car-truck accident?  In my experience as a personal injury attorney, I’ve noted that the semi always wins!  So if you’re going to pass a semi truck, make sure you can keep going and get good distance between you and him after you pass.  You really don’t want 40 tons of steel and whatever he’s hauling bearing down on you.  This is doubly the case in stop-and-go traffic, when you really, really want to get past him.
